Anthony Beckwith first became involved with local reggae musicians in 1983, a year after graduating high school, in a basement in Cambridge.
His first gigs with reggae bands, as keyboardist and bass player, were with three bands in Western Massachusetts in 1987-1988. He played with the Boston-based High Vibes Reggae Band in 1988-1990, which morphed into the I-Vibes in 1989, playing throughout New England from 1989-1994. Beckwith's other live music work was with a combined I-Vibes/Dub Station crew in 1999 and 2000 at Bill's Bar in Boston and Rhythm & Spice in Cambridge.
Beckwith currently works on studio recordings of mostly original reggae music.
